Yeah, probably. We can still do it up mediumish. Like, maybe some stickers and some of those coloring books that Chris had made up? And plaques for the costume contest?

On selling things, nope. So far, our understanding is that selling anything like that would get us sued by Lucasfilm.

If you'd rather not deal with paypal or the internet, you can just get the money to me personally and I'll deposit it into the booth fund on your behalf. If that's all that's stopping anyone from donating to the booth fund, just lemme know with a PM here or on facebook, and we'll figure something out.

Again, no activity this week. So we're still at:

$345

Man Karen, don't sweat it. If/when you can help, that's great. If you can't, well that's ok and everyone understands. Seriously everone, lol. We didn't go 3-4 months without a donation because everyone forgot. Seems like everyone's been in a pinch money-wise for the last little while.

And that includes this last week. No donations, so we're still at:

$345

Okay! Gonna go back to updating every Friday (or at least every weekend) until C6, or until we deem it unnecessary to keep up donations. Like, if we meet/exceed our goal and there's no need for anyone to keep donating.

As it is, there has been some activity. Woot! We're now up to a grand total of:

$345

It is, but it's part of the menu bar up at the top off the screen now. Up there with where you can click Home, Forum, Login, or Logout. It only shows while you're logged in.

Alrighty!

Wow! It's been way too long. Okay, so donations tapered off back in August and then pretty much stopped altogether around September/October. It's understandable. First there's the start of school, then Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, the shirt order and finally Wizard World. Extra cash has been in short supply all around. Now, all the big money holidays are out of the way for awhile. Also, C6 is about 6 1/2 - 7 months away. So, we're kinda coming down to the wire as far as figuring out what we'll be able to do for the booth.

Having said all'a that, our current total is:

$295

Now of course, that's our total that we currently have to work with. It's what's left after subtracting the $92 for the banner and then the ~$200 to get the site back up. Obviously, we've got a ways to go to get done what we want to at the booth. With what we have right now we could probably get some more stickers, a new tablecloth, a backdrop to take pictures in front of for the costume contest and a few other odds and ends. We're also wanting to get plaques made for the winners of the costume contest and those badges. The plaques won't take a whole lot more, but the badges will probably have to be a no-go unless there's a fairly impressive turnout for donations between now and May/July. Remember, we won't have until a week or two before C6 for some of this stuff. Stickers and badges take time to produce, so whatever money we've gotten by (I figure) first of May is gonna be what we'll have to work with.

Going back to the shirt order, I have to say I was impressed with everybody's ability to pull together and make that happen. I really didn't think we'd be able to put the order together, collect the money, place the order and pick up the shirts in time for folks to wear them in N.O. But it totally happened. And in only about one month's time. Seriously, I'm impressed.

On that note, the amount we all managed to get together in one month for that is roughly what we'll need to raise between now and May in order to do what all we want to do. After getting the shirts in time for Wizard World, getting just as much in 4-5 months really doesn't seem too impossible. At least, not if we try. So everybody, let's try.
