Well, I wanted to see who was interested first. It would most likely be on a Saturday, and everyone will have to go and get the necessary materials.

Some of you have asked me about make-up advice and/or doing make-up for Texas Frightmare (still don't think I'll be able to go to that, but whatever) and the Zombie Run coming up (btw do we have a location and time on that?). I could do make-up for everyone, but that would take a lot of time. The best thing I think would be to teach y'all how to do make-up application (which isn't that difficult really). Anyone interested?
I was actually just referring to him being able to have a hilt versus a full saber.
Not a problem for me unless it's a problem for you.
Keith, do you think you could be the make up artist for a few of us?
I could, but you'll need to have your own make-up and time for application...
I think it'd be fun to do other cosplays. Steampunk anyone?
Already ahead of you.
I have a Luke ROTJ Master Replica and my Darth Maul sabers. Neither are the kind that disassemble to take the blades off though.
Are they not wanting us to have blades?
This is just an idea I wanted to run by everyone and see what y'all thought. This past weekend at PulpCon, we had a few people come up and express interest in joining the group, but felt that they couldn't because they didn't have a Star Wars cosplay. I explained to them that having a Star Wars cosplay wasn't necessary to be a member and that there're some of our members who cosplay don't even have Star Wars costumes (like Heath's Cap). Some of our members don't even show up in a costume at all! A few of these people that came to the booth had fantastic sci-fi cosplays of their own, and I explained to them that they were more than welcome to come and hang out with us at events in those cosplays.
All that being said, is there a way for us to emphesize to potential members that although our specialty is Star Wars cosplaying, that having a cosplay, of any sort, is not required for membership and that we welcome all cosplayers specializing in the sci-fi and fantasy genres, not just Star Wars...
Keith you need to go to Texas with us.
Are you paying?! haha

hehe... Replace the chin guns with those tee shirt launchers they have at football games and have the head turn. And let chaos ensue
I like your thinking. haha
